About Tanveer Padder

Tanveer A. Padder, MD is a triple-boarded psychiatrist, diplomat of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, American Board of Addiction Medicine and added Certification in American Board of Clinical Psychopharmacology. He is an expert in Psychopharmacology and has been awarded a Master in Psycho-pharmacologist certification by Steven Stahl, MD of the Neuroscience Education Institute. Additionally, he treats substance abuse disorders and has a DATA 2000 waiver for Buprenorphine by SAMHSA

Dr Padder has distinguished himself as a very talented and gifted psychiatrist, evidenced by his impressive track record, excellent clinical skills, and superb academic achievements. He has received numerous awards and was included in the directory of America’s Top Psychiatrists by the Consumer Federation of America in 2010 and 2011. Additionally, he is the recipient of Health Grades Honor Roll 2014, Compassionate Doctor Recognition 2012, and Patients’ Choice Award-2012 & 2013.

Acheivements

Dr Padder graduated MD cum laude and was distinguished as the best outgoing graduate in his medical school. He conducted his psychiatry residency at Nassau University Medical Center, receiving several awards. He then completed a research fellowship in Cardiovascular Diseases from Drexel University / Hahnemann University Hospital. He is the author of Organized Wisdom Bipolar 101 and 102, a series of answers to the most highly searched and frequently asked questions about bipolar disorder.

At Present

Dr Padder is currently the medical director of two mental health clinics in Maryland and a consulting psychiatrist at Padder Health services. He has a very robust practice where he is actively involved with treating a complex patient population and teaching physicians-in-training.

Dr Padder has received many teaching awards, including Best Resident and Chief Resident Award. He has published extensively in both national and international medical and psychiatric journals. He lives with his wife and two children in Columbia, Maryland.
